Residents of "El Campo" the informal name for the Caldwell Labor Camp, now Farmway Village gathered for their first reunion ever this weekend. Hundreds of former residents came from as far away as California and Texas to greet old friends, some of whom lived there in the 1950s. Antonia Flores, who came to the camp in 1964 as a bride and has lived there ever since, was honored for her role in the tienda, the village store. ÒSheÕs best known for giving credit to migrants,Ó says her daughter, Aurelia Flores. Ò(The workers) would come here with blind faith. (My parents) would carry the bill till they found work." ÒWe are all together," says Flores, remembering families who used to live there. "I love them. Even the little kids, my candy customers." KATHERINE JONES — Katherine Jones / Idaho Statesma
