A great way to be in the center of the action for the annual fireworks show and Chalk Art Festival is to volunteer.
Volunteers are needed starting 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
All sorts of volunteer help is needed, from friendly faces at the information and check-in booths to people willing to help secure the fireworks perimeter to help keep everyone safe. Organizers also need a few volunteers to close the event down July 5.
Volunteers must be 18 or older.
The day includes the Idaho Statesman Chalk Art Festival, Chalk Land and games for kids, music and the grand finale of fireworks at approximately 10:15 p.m.
Sign up early to get your preferred volunteer shift at IdahoStatesman.com/fireworks.
This is the sixth year the Idaho Statesman, Journal Broadcast Group and the City of Boise have worked together to bring Fourth of July Fireworks to our city and the 3rd year of the Idaho Statesman Chalk Art Festival.
Volunteers help make these community events a success, and organizers hope you are able to help.
