Eagle Island Marketplace
Fred Meyer is giving the new shopping center at 1400 W. Chinden Blvd. in Meridian its anchor. The new Fred Meyer store and fuel center open at 7 a.m. Friday. There will be a cake-cutting and donation ceremony at 2 p.m. Hours for the store are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.
All about the store
The store has 175,000 square feet and cost $31 million. Its the 11th Fred Meyer in Idaho, and it will carry items such as natural and organic foods, clothes, furniture, electronics, garden products and home goods. The fuel center can accommodate 10 cars.
Donations to come
Fred Meyer will give $5,000 each to the Eagle and Meridian food banks, the Eagle Public Library and the Eagle Senior Center. It will donate $10,000 to Meridians Joint School District No. 2.
Meanwhile, at the mall Teavanas grand opening is Friday at Boise Towne Square. The store sells about 100 kinds of loose-leaf tea and merchandise. It also has a tea bar. To celebrate the opening, Teavana will offer discounts and free samples.
Coldwater Creek refreshed
The store at Boise Towne Square reopened recently for business after a renovation. The first 100 shoppers at Saturdays grand reopening celebration get a free gift and $25 off purchases of $50 or more.
Beauty at the Plaza
Ulta Beauty opens a new salon Friday at Boise Towne Plaza, across from the mall, next to Nordstrom Rack. Ulta sells beauty tools, cosmetics, skin- and hair-care products and perfumes.
