A new Great Clips salon will open Friday at Eagle Island Market Place, 1388 W. Chinden Blvd., Meridian.
The salon will be the ninth for local franchisee Julie Sullivan and her husband, Jerry, according to a news release from their company. The new salon will employ 10 people. The other Great Clips franchises in the Treasure Valley employ more than 90 stylists.
The couple moved to Eagle in 1997. Julie Sullivan previously oversaw franchises in Portland and Vancouver, Wash., and Jerry was regional director for Great Clips in the Chicago market. The new Eagle salon will be overseen by Traci Holmes, the local general manager and a Great Clips employee since 1993.
