Boise committed two errors and allowed three unearned runs in a 4-1 loss to Salem-Keizer on Tuesday night in Keizer, Ore.
The Hawks lost four of five games in the season-opening series.
Starting pitcher Willengton Cruz allowed an unearned run on just three hits for the Hawks, striking out six in five innings. Willson Contreras, Dong-Yub Kim and Marco Hernandez each had two hits in the loss.
The Hawks have eight errors in five games.
Late Monday night, Boise recorded its first win of the season, beating Salem-Keizer 6-4 in 11 innings.
