The Boise State football team has added a linebacker and a wide receiver to its 2013 recruiting class, which now includes seven oral commitments.
Middle linebacker Tanner Vallejo (6-foot-2, 220 pounds) of Nevada Union High in Grass Valley, Calif., chose the Broncos over three Pac-12 offers, he said Monday. His offer list included Arizona, Colorado, Washington State, Fresno State, Nevada, UNLV, San Diego State, Eastern Washington and Colorado State, he said. He visited UCLA, Fresno State and Nevada.
He was in Boise last week and committed Sunday evening.
I just felt like that was a perfect fit for me, he said. When I was there, I just knew that it didnt get any better than that. I just felt like I could fit right in, but mainly the coaches.
Ive always been a fan of theirs, too. I just definitely want to play out there.
Vallejo was the co-Defensive MVP of the Sierra Foothill League last season.
Also, wide receiver Chris Seisay of American Canyon (Calif.) High has committed to the Broncos, according to the Napa Valley Register. Seisay could not be reached for comment by the Idaho Statesman.
Seisay was a first-team All-Solano County Athletic Conference pick as a defensive back and second-team pick as a wide receiver last season. He caught 26 passes for 756 yards and nine TDs.
This should be a big class for the Broncos, who have 26 seniors on the roster. Already, they have collected two linebackers, two offensive linemen, a wide receiver, a tight end and a quarterback.
