Two men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery after police found a Nampa man who had been beaten with a bat in his apartment.

Paul D. Wiliams, a 27-year-old Kuna man, and Douglas J. Williams, a 22-year-old Orofino man, were both charged with felony aggravated battery and burglary Wednesday.

Nampa police responded to a report of a noise disturbance at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 16500 block of Amtrust Street and found a man who had been severely beaten with a bat. The 18-year-old was transported to the hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police say the suspects are known to the battery victim, and the incident appears to be related to a theft that is currently under investigation.
