Boise police ask for public's help in identifying suspects who may have set fires along Greenbelt

Published: June 12, 2012

As many as a dozen very small fires burned sections of the Greenbelt in Boise Tuesday afternoon, and Boise police say they believe the fires were intentionally set. The fires were reported by a passerby at 2:12 p.m.

The fires were in an area 30 to 40 feet long on the north side of the Boise River, off Shoreline Drive west of Americana Boulevard.

One of the fires burned the trunk of a tree. Others smoldered in dried grass, leaves and debris. Anyone with information about the fires is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-2677 (COPS).
