Seems like little kids have high-water britches and too-short tees more often than not. They just grow so darn fast. And clothing costs add up quickly for a sprouting family. That’s why Treasure Valley mommies say Meridian’s Kidz Again resale shop is where they turn to keep their kids looking sharp on a shoestring budget.

The consignment store buys and sells gently used children’s clothes, toys and baby furniture. The roomy retailer offers a huge selection of ever-changing high chairs, bouncers, playpens and, oh, those racks upon racks of clothes for kids from newborns to 12-year-olds. There’s even maternity wear for expecting mothers.

The store’s popularity has grown as local pocketbooks got skinnier, owner Lynn Thomas says.

“It is definitely the economy,” Thomas said. “People are starting to realize they can find really good quality kids clothes for a fraction of new.”

Often, clothing comes in with tags still attached.

“Customers like our store,” says Thomas, who started the business in 2009. “We try to keep it clean and kid-friendly.”
