The Boise State football program is going through a major transition in the next 18 months and the changes will affect the growing fan base known as Bronco Nation.
The team lost its decorated senior class after last season. The group won a college football record 50 games in four years, led by quarterback Kellen Moore.
The program is in the midst of a three-year conference change. The Broncos moved into the Mountain West last season, will remain in a changing Mountain West this year TCU exits, while Fresno State, Nevada and Hawaii join and are scheduled to join the Big East Conference next year.
And iconic Bronco Stadium is getting a major makeover. New bleacher seating in the north and south end zones will add 3,500 seats and expand capacity to 37,000, made possible by the track and field teams new facility at Dona Larsen Park. Meanwhile, a $22 million complex that will house the football program is under construction in the north end zone with completion set for June 30, 2013.
