The intoxicating smell of barbecue sauce tickles your nose as soon as you walk into Goodwood Barbecue Company. You cant help but be hungry.
In an era of barbecue specialization, Goodwood offers something for everybody Texas-style brisket, Kansas City burnt ends, Carolina pulled pork, St. Louis ribs, baby backs and West Texas beef ribs. And if you just cant choose one, Goodwood offers you a two- and three-meat platter.
As if you needed more choices, there are two types of sauce at your table: Sweet and Sassy and Sweet and Spicy.
The side options are decidedly Idaho. No collard greens or mac and cheese, but plenty of potato choices fried, smashed, baked. The dinner salad is hearty with eggs, bacon, tomato and croutons. Cornbread is served with your meal. Goodwood has sweet tea, a must, and a full bar.
For those less interested in barbecue, Goodwood serves a host of more standard dinner fare salmon, burgers, chicken and a bunch of salad options (some with meat and some without). But lets be honest: Youre going for the barbecue. The only trouble is figuring out which style.
