PASTRY PERFECTION

5855 Glenwood St., Garden City, 376-3700

Everything is made from scratch and baked fresh daily.

That’s a big part of why Pastry Perfection — owned by brothers Mike and Brent Curry — has developed a dedicated following over the past three decades.

“We try to be an old-fashioned bakery where you can buy all your bakery goods,” Mike Curry said. Need hamburger buns or a loaf of bread for dinner? Pick it up when you stop in for your morning coffee and doughnuts.

In a building previously occupied by a boat business, Pastry Perfection has high ceilings and feels spacious, even when the bakery’s 60-plus seats are filled. The display case is tantalizingly long.

The bakery’s staff of more than 30 also makes all sorts of cakes — gourmet cupcakes, King Cakes for Mardi Gras, wedding cakes and custom cakes. They deliver baked goods to convenience stores, hospitals, offices — even homes ($5 fee for delivery); service area from East Boise to Caldwell.
