Sept. 28-29: Robert Franz will conduct Sibelius’ Violin Concerto (Rachel Barton Pine), Honegger’s “Pacific 231” and Brahms’ Symphony No. 1.
Oct. 19-20: Franz will conduct Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 (George Li), Schubert’s Overture to “Rosamunde” and his Symphony No. 3.
Nov. 16-17: The Phil and its Master Chorale will perform Idaho composer Jim Cockey’s “Sacred Land” and partner with Ballet Idaho on Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring.”
Jan. 25-26: Franz conducts “The Ring Without Words,” symphonic music from Wagner’s Ring Cycle, as arranged by Lorin Maazel.
Feb. 23-24: Franz and the orchestra perform Beethoven’s 1st and 9th symphonies.
March 22-23: Guest conductor Dan Hagy will conduct Bach’s Piano Concerto in D Minor (Robert Plano), Copland’s “Appalachian Spring” and Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 “Spring.”
April 19-20: Guest conductor Carl Topilow will pay tribute to the big band era.
May 3-4: Franz will conduct Korngold’s Violin Concerto in D Major (Jennifer Frautschi), Idaho composer David Allen Earnest’s “Turbulence” and Rachmininov’s Symphony No. 2.
