Krispy Kreme looking at spots for East Boise doughnut shop

Published: June 6, 2012

The doughnut maker based in North Carolina already has a Krispy Kreme drive-through and sit-down shop in Meridian, at East Fairview Avenue and North Eagle Road. It’s owned by a Las Vegas-based Idaho franchise owner that has toured East Boise to find a second site.

The company is looking at Vista and Broadway avenues as possible locations for a store that could open as soon as next year, according to Ramona Hildebran, whose brokerage firm Capital Commercial Properties is working with the franchise owner.

"[We] are working on how the deal might work to buy and build,” said Hildebran. "As the economy improves, they’ll look to possibly (open) a third" Krispy Kreme store.

A third store in the Treasure Valley would depend on how sales go at the Meridian and forthcoming East Boise store, she said. But the franchise owner would likely look at "the farthest reaches their customers are coming from" to pinpoint an ideal spot for a third store. "They love our market; we've treated them really well here," Hildebran said.
