Published: June 6, 2012

Garden City police are looking for a man who witnesses say showed a knife while robbing the Walgreens store at 10530 W. Carlton Bay Drive Wednesday morning.

The robbery occurred around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. Garden City police say a man in his late teens or early 20s came into the store, jumped over a counter, and demanded that a clerk give him narcotic prescription drugs.

The man then walked out of the store with an undisclosed amount of those drugs. The clerk was not injured, according to reports.

Boise Police and Ada County Sheriff’s deputies helped Garden City police search the area but they were not able to find the man.

Witnesses say the robber had a thin build and short brown hair. The robber was wearing jeans, a light grey or tan sweatshirt, and dark shoes.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 343-2677.
