‘War Horse’ heads to the Morrison Center in Boise

Published: June 1, 2012

Boise audiences will get the first look at the tour of “War Horse.” The national company rehearsed at the Morrison Center for three weeks and will do four preview performances before heading to its official opening in Los Angeles. The play’s touching story centers on a young boy who joins the Army in World War I to find his beloved horse Joey, who was sold by his father as a cavalry horse. Joey survives and ends up in German hands, where he experiences human kindness on both sides of the battlefield. The story comes to beautiful life through the life-size horse puppets of Handspring Puppet Company.
