Boise State women's hoops fall to UNLV at home

The Boise State women’s basketball team saw its rally fall short in a 75-66 loss Wednesday at Taco Bell Arena.

The Broncos (13-14, 4-8 Mountain West) trailed by 17 points with 14:39 to play before trimming the deficit to 66-62 with 3:22 left on a pair of free throws by junior Lauren Lenhardt, who shared team-high scoring honors with freshman Keiahnna Engel with 14 points.

Senior Kati Isham also reached double figures with 10 points.

Kinzi Poteet led on the boards with nine rebounds, while Lenhardt added seven.

Kelli Thompson lead the Runnin’ Rebels (20-8, 8-4) with 22 points.

The Broncos play their final home game of the season at 2 p.m. Saturday against Wyoming. It will be Senior Day for Boise State’s three seniors — Isham, Nicole Brady and Heather Pilcher.
