'Dump Hunger' food drive breaks donation records in Idaho

The annual post-holiday food drive that takes place across Idaho and the entire Intermountain West, broke donation records this year. Donations were initially slow, but communities across the region rallied together with drive organizers Western States, Albertsons and Wells Fargo.

Here are the Idaho totals:

Idaho Falls – 193,582 pounds benefiting Idaho Falls Community Food Bank

Lewiston – 18,519 pounds benefiting The Idaho Foodbank

Boise/Meridian – 167,257 pounds benefiting The Idaho Foodbank

Pocatello – 36,101 pounds benefiting The Idaho Foodbank

Twin Falls – 25,994 pounds benefiting the Salvation Army

Hayden – 14,232 pounds benefiting Community Action Partnership
