Boise State University’s concurrent enrollment program brings college courses to 33 high school campuses in the Treasure Valley. Students earn high school and college credits simultaneously.

Enrollment in Boise State’s program has grown steadily for the past five years, with a 20 percent increase in fall 2011 to 2,132 students.

Offerings vary by high school but include math, biology, chemistry, political science, physics, accounting, art, biology, chemistry, computer science, economics, engineering science, foreign languages, and social sciences.

Students can enroll at their high schools this spring for fall 2012 courses. Courses cost $65 per credit. Students also have access to university resources such as the Albertson’s Library for research and the Writing Center for help with written work.

The program’s goal is to encourage students to go on to college beyond high school.
