The Boise VA Medical Center invites the public to participate in the National Salute to Veteran Patients week through Friday, Feb. 17.

Members of the public are invited to send Valentines, cards of appreciation, and letters to VA medical centers simply addressed “Dear Veteran.” The notes will be given to residents at the veterans home. Send items, or drop them at 320 N. Collins Rd., Boise, ID 83702

"National Salute to Veteran Patients is a fitting time to tell our military heroes thank you for their service to our great nation," said Boise VA Medical Center Associate Director Grant Ragsdale, "We have invited local celebrities, elected officials, and many other dignitaries to visit veterans during the week. We want people of all ages to bring Valentine’s Day cheer to these men and women, and let them know how much we appreciate their sacrifices and selflessness.”
