Small Smiles Dental Center will offer free dental screenings for children Feb. 15 at the center, 8744 Fairview Ave., Boise.

Screenings will be offered from 9 to 11 a.m.

The event is in recognition of Children's Dental Health Month in February.

"An estimated one in five children go without dental care each year," said Riki Lambert, lead dentist for the center, a business that specializes in meeting the dental needs of low-income children. "With tooth decay being the single most common childhood disease, five times more common than asthma, we need to ensure that all children have access to quality dental care."
