The training will take place Sunday, Feb. 19, 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Owhyee Plaza, 1109 Main St., and Monday, Feb. 20, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Idaho Education Association, 620 N. 6th St.
Sunday's training will include information about how to be an effective citizen lobbyists, best practices when speaking with elected officials and a Know Your Rights training on Statehouse protocol. Attendees will also learn about the many legislative priorities of the ACLU.
Monday's training will refresh participants with the information from Sunday's gathering before heading to the Statehouse to meet with elected officials.
