The Elmore County Sheriff's Office has identified two suspects who may have been involved in a high-speed pursuit on Saturday, Feb. 4. The chase ended in King Hill.
Evidence gathered from the vehicle that police believe the suspects abandoned point to Veron Ray Johnson and Myrand Rae York, both wanted fugitives from Walla Walla, Wa., according to Elmore County investigators. They are now also wanted in Idaho in connection with the police pursuit and a vehicle stolen from King Hill.
Johnson is considered armed and dangerous. The public is warned not to approach him; notify local police if you see him.
Elmore County investigators believe Johnson was driving the vehicle involved in the high-speed pursuit on Feb. 4. The vehicle crashed, and two suspects ran from the scene.
Minutes after the crash, a King Hill resident reported a stolen truck. The vehicle was recovered in Nampa on Wednesday, Feb. 8.
Law enforcement officials believe Johnson may have shaved his head and beard. He and York are believed to be headed to Colorado or Oregon.
