John P. Dealba is being held in the Ada County Jail on two counts of possession of sexually exploitative material after police say they found child pornography in his East Boise home Thursday.

Members of the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force had been investigating the 44-year-old Dealba since November after finding evidence that child porn images were being transmitted to computers at his home, according to reports.

Boise and Meridian police served a search warrant at Dealba’s home in the 1400 block of East Regatta Street, located in the ParkCenter Boulevard/Law Avenue neighborhood, around 5 p.m. Thursday and found illegal images on several computers inside, according to reports.

Detectives do not suspect any of the victims in the images are from the Treasure Valley area. Dealba, who was home during the raid, was arrested without incident.

Dealba will make his initial court appearance Friday afternoon.

The crime of possession of sexually exploitative materials is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
