Alaska defenseman Benn Olson has been suspended by the ECHL for three games as a result of his kneeing penalty in a game against the Steelheads on Wednesday night. Olson was given a 5-minute major penalty and a game misconduct for his penalty, which resulted in an injury to Idaho forward Tyson Hobbins. Hobbins has been placed on the 21-day injured-reserve list. An MRI on his knee is scheduled for Monday. Olson won’t play Friday or Saturday as the two teams complete their three-game series at CenturyLink Arena.
