The Boise Snowmobile Club is having its annual Fun Run Saturday, Feb. 11.
Riders check in at 9 a.m. at the Granite Creek parking lot about 1 mile past Idaho City off Idaho 21.
The cost for the run is $5 per card. The club will start serving hotdogs, desserts and soft drinks at 2:30 p.m. followed by the drawings and prizes at 3:30 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Center in Idaho City. The senior center will open at 8 a.m. for nonriders to spend the day.
There will be a large variety of fun run prizes ranging from overnight stays, gift certificates cash and snowmobile gear.
The ride is about 40 miles and will loop back coming down Pine Creek across the meadow returning to Granite Creek. There will be five check stations along the way where riders will draw a number to participate in the drawings.
“We are a family oriented club and encourage young riders to join us,” event organizers said.
There are about 300 miles of groomed trails in areas that include access from Placerville, Mores Creek Summit and Edna Creek Parking lot.
