A 38-year-old Boise man is being held at the Lane County Jail in Eugene, Ore., on charges of attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a firearm, according to Lane County Sheriff Detective Sgt. Cliff Harrold.

Johnny Robert Hausman was arrested early Friday morning, after an overnight dispute over a motorcycle erupted into gunfire.

Lane County sheriff's investigators say the incident occurred at 1:39 a.m. Friday at residence on Territorial Highway in Veneta, west of Eugene.

Donald Zachary Pope told police that three men had come to his home to talk to him about a motorcycle. The discussion turned into a physical dispute, and shots were fired. No one was hit by the bullets.

The three men fled Pope's home, but they left their vehicle behind. One man was found hiding in a bush, and investigators determined he hadn't shot the gun. Investigators say they determined Hausman was the shooter, and he was taken into custody at the West Lane Shopping Center shortly before 7 a.m.

The third suspect was not found, and he is wanted for questioning.

Hausman's criminal record in Idaho includes DUI, driving without privileges, and grand theft.
