The NCAA has granted Cory Yriarte a sixth year of eligibility, Boise State announced Tuesday. Yriarte missed the 2009 and 2010 seasons after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee twice. Yriarte has played in 17 games in his Bronco career and is expected to be the team’s starting center in 2012. He is the second Boise State offensive player to earn a sixth year of eligibility for 2012, joining running back D.J. Harper.
UNLV: Coach Bobby Hauck has shuffled his staff, moving tight ends coach Brent Myers to offensive coordinator and defensive backs coach J.D. Williams to defensive coordinator.
Washington State: Starting linebacker C.J. Mizell has been kicked off the team after he was arrested over the weekend in connection with a fight at a fraternity house. He started nine games last season, recording 56 tackles and three sacks. Mizell had previous discipline problems at WSU.
