Eric J Olmeda is charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and illegal consumption of alcohol after Nampa police say he was driving drunk when he rolled over a PT Cruiser on 12th Avenue South Monday night with three other teens inside.
Three of the teens had to go to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police say Olmeda and two of the other teens were intoxicated at the time of the crash and the other was listed as a runaway. Olmeda did not have a valid drivers license.
Police say Olmeda was driving when he lost control of the car on 12th Avenue South, near Lake Lowell, around 6 a.m. Monday. The car rolled over and landed on the roof but all four teens were able to get out and run away. Police say they were able to find them a short time later.
Three of the teens were found at one of their homes about a mile away from the crash. Police found one near the wreck but did not say which one.
Police reports do not indicate where officers found the teens or where they were going at the time of the wreck. Two of the passengers a boy and girl were charged with misdemeanor counts of illegal consumption of alcohol. Police found beer inside the car, according to reports.
