BOISE WRESTLERS VIE FOR TITLE TUESDAY NIGHT

Boise, Borah, Capital and Timberline will compete in the 10th annual Grapple for the Granite beginning at 5 p.m. in Borah High’s old gymnasium. The winner of the Boise School District championship receives a coveted 300-pound granite rock, which is transported to the winning school each year. Borah has won the past two titles and shares the lead with Capital for most Grapple wins at four. Boise, which has never won the event, is considered the favorite this season.

Past Grapple for the Granite winners: Capital (2003, 2007, 2008, 2009), Timberline (2004), Borah (2005, 2006, 2010, 2011).
