The 16th-ranked Broncos beat No. 33 BYU 195.75-194.75 at the Smith Fieldhouse on Saturday, setting two top-10 all-time marks. They produced the second-best vault team score in school history (49.45) and the seventh-best balance beam score (49.25). Senior Amy Glass shared a victory on beam (9.9), and won the floor (9.85) and all-around (39.45), the 15th-best all-around score in school history. Junior teammate Hailey Gaspar won the vault with a season-best 9.925.
BSU TRACK & FIELD: The Broncos won nine events at the Bronco Classic in Nampa. The winners were Kurt Felix (long jump in 24-6.5, high jump in 6-10.25), Drew ODonoghue-McDonald (mile, 4:10.27), Rolando Trammel (60 hurdles, 8.05), Will Lohman (shot put, 55-9.25) and Mathew Moyer (800, 1:54.98). The women were led by winners Emma Bates (mile, 4:59.13), Anna Preciado (3,000, 10:20.72) and Mele Vaisima (weight throw, 65-3.5, the second best throw in BSU history).
BSU MENS TENNIS: The Broncos edged Washington 4-3 at the Boise Racquet and Swim Club.
BSU WOMENS TENNIS: The Broncos (3-1) beat Weber State 6-1 and Seattle 4-3 in a doubleheader Saturday.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes fell to Corban 76-62 in Salem, Ore. Felicity Jones led the C of I (16-8, 11-4 CCC) with 14 points, and Tina Fakahafua chipped in 13.
C OF I MENS BASKETBALL: Corban completed a season sweep of the Coyotes with a 47-42 win in Salem, Ore. The 42 points is the lowest scoring total in program history in a CCC game. Krispin Banks led the Coyotes (9-17, 4-11 CCC) with 11 points.
C OF I BASEBALL: Lewis-Clark State took advantage of two Coyote errors and eight walks in an 8-4 win over the C of I in Anthem, Ariz. Both teams are 2-2.
NORTHWEST NAZARENE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Megan Hingston scored 19 points and Heather Adams converted key free throws in the final seconds as NNU beat Central Washington 58-54 in Ellensburg, Wash. NNU improves to 13-7 overall, 7-5 GNAC.
NNU MEN'S BASKETBALL: The Crusaders used an 11-3 run to take control of a 75-70 win over Central Washington in Nampa. JB Pillard led all players with 21 points for NNU (11-9, 5-7 GNAC).
NNU SOFTBALL: No. 1-ranked UC San Diego swept a four-game series from the Crusaders in La Jolla, Calif., beating NNU 8-0 twice in five-inning games Saturday.
