Idaho Power to purchase power from Homedale plant

A 20-year contract between Idaho Power and a small hydro plant project in Homedale has been approved by the Idaho Public Utilities commission.

The Fargo Drop plan is expected to be online by Aug. 1.

Fargo Drop is owned by Oregon-based Riverside Investments. It qualified for the contract under a requirement that electric utilities offer to purchase power from qualifying small power producers.
