KIDS AND SNOW

Snow ranger event set at Lake Cascade State Park

The Cascade Ranger District of the Forest Service is hosting the free event at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4 along Crown Point Parkway.

It is focused for second graders, but all ages are welcome. It will provide kids with an opportunity to search for animal tracks and look at snow crystals up close.

Parking is located in the free parking area lot near Crown Point Campground. This is reached just north of Cascade on the west side of Idaho 55 off of Vista Point Boulevard. Follow the signs to Crown Point Campground from the highway.

Participants should bring snowshoes if they have them. About 10 pairs will be available at the event.

The route is mostly level and easy to navigate for all ages. More information is available from Jen Hensiek at the Cascade Ranger District, (208) 382-7400.
