Norman Dick, 26, of Caldwell. COURTESY OF CANYON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Caldwell man is being held in the Canyon County Jail on charges of felony leaving the scene of an accident, drunken driving, carrying a concealed weapon, open container and other charges.

A woman fell or was pushed from Norman Dick’s vehicle about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on the 200 block of Iowa Avenue in Caldwell, said Canyon County Sheriff’s Sgt. Paul Maund. A half-our later, a deputy found the vehicle and stopped it at the intersection of Idaho 55 and Chicken Dinner Road.

The woman and Dick were acquainted, though the nature of their relationship is unclear, Maund said. Neither was cooperating with deputies Saturday.

Deputies found a firearm when Dick was searched, Maund said. He was arrested and booked on charges from both Canyon County and Caldwell police.
