Kyle Barone and Deremy Geiger scored 21 points apiece as host Idaho rolled to a 74-66 victory over San Jose State. Barone also pulled down 11 rebounds for the Vandals (11-9, 4-2 WAC). Wil Carter scored 15 points, pulled down nine rebounds and had three assists for the Spartans (7-14, 0-6).
IDAHO STATE MEN’S BASKETBALL: Chase Grabau scored 30 points to lead three Bengals (6-14, 4-4 Big Sky) in double figures in a 99-94 double-overtime victory over Northern Colorado. Melvin Morgan scored 22 points, while Kenny McGowen chipped in 18 against the Bears (6-13, 3-5).
ISU WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Bengals (15-5, 7-0 Big Sky) stayed perfect in conference play with a 64-50 win at Northern Colorado (12-9, 4-4). Lindsey Reed led ISU with 15 points.
NORTHWEST NAZARENE MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Crusaders (9-9, 3-7 GNAC) got 14 points from Jonathan Hawkins and JB Pillard added 10 points and seven rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to prevent visiting Alaska Anchorage (14-4, 8-2) from recording an 81-64 win.
NNU WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Crusaders suffered a 79-39 loss on No. 12 Alaska Anchorage’s home court. Briaunna King led NNU (11-7, 5-5) with nine points. The Seawolves improved to 18-3, 9-1.
