Heights Elementary School in the Middleton School District is Idahos newest winner in the Healthier U.S. School Challenge, the Idaho State Department of Education announced Monday.
Heights won a Silver Award and will receive $1,000, a plaque and a banner to display at the school. The healthy school challenge is a U.S. Department of Agriculture program to acknowledge schools that improve nutrition and food quality in their schools, provide students with more healthy choices and enhance their physical activity program.
