Do you have a pair of jeans in your closet that are in good shape, but you know you won't be wearing again? Consider donating it to "Jeans for Teens."
The Boise Rescue Mission is part of a nationwide effort to collect jeans for homeless teens. Last year, more than a half million pairs of jeans were collected nationwide, and this year the goal is 1 million pairs jeans. The campaign is being sponored by DoSomething.org and Aeropostale.
The Boise Rescue Mission is helping promote and collect the jeans. The campaign runs from Jan. 16-Feb. 12.
If students are interested in starting a drive and want some ideas, we would be happy to help them learn how, said Meagan Ellis, director of childrens ministries for the mission, in a release Thursday.
