Registration is now open for a series of free water-efficient landscaping classes. The sessions, sponsored by United Water Idaho, the City of Boise, and the University of Idaho Extension, will teach homeowners how to incorporate the principles of xeriscape landscaping and water conservation practices in their yards and gardens.
The four class sessions begin Feb. 6 and will be held at the Boise Public Library (715 S. Capitol Blvd.).
Here's the line-up:
Feb. 6 - Improving your soil and Composting Feb. 13 - Xeriscape Concepts & Landscaping with Adaptive Plants Feb. 22 - Choosing the Right Plant Feb. 27 - Caring for a Water-Wise Landscape
Instructors are recognized experts in their fields from the U of I Extension, the City of Boise and the Idaho Botanical Garden.
Each class runs two hours, from 6 to 8 p.m. and will be held in the community room in the library.
