File this one under “Hey, did you know … ?”: Meridian Mayor Tammy de Weerd hosts a television talk show.

A new season of the monthly program, “Celebrate Meridian,” starts at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, on Treasure Valley Community Television (TVCTV) Channel 11.

De Weerd and her guest, District 14 Sen. Chuck Winder, will discuss Idaho’s upcoming legislative session. The January program also will include a feature on Rocky Mountain High School student Josh Wagnor and a business profile on ESI Construction.

“Celebrate Meridian” features monthly guests and profiles of Meridian leaders and businesses. The program, which started in fall 2010, is a joint collaboration with (TVCTV) and Mountain View High School.

A new 30-minute episode of the program airs the first Thursday of each month and repeats at 8 p.m. every Thursday.
