From the Downtown Teaching Farm and Community Garden located at 12th and Fort St. Boise A cooperative effort of Boise High School Horticulture program headed up by Alison Ward and Cathedral of the Rockies who has generously allowed use of the land, and many helping hands and happy hearts of members of the community. It's in its infancy but coming along nicely. Grapes will adorn the arbor and raspberries and strawberries have been tucked in for the winter. Les Bois Park has donated and delivered 45 cubic yards of stall sweepings for compost and Davey Tree service has brought truckloads of wood chips. Edwards Greenhouse has contributed loads of plant stock and Zamzows is ready to pitch in come spring. United Water has donated all the water. We are looking for help to haul off a mountain of tree limbs and uncompostable material and need help with large scale soil tilling and come spring, we will be creating a drip system for plants to conserve water so expertise and materials will be needed.
