An Aberdeen man was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 near the Cloverdale overpass early Sunday morning.

Aaron Schritter, 20, of Aberdeen was driving the wrong way in the westbound lanes before the crash reported at 4:35 a.m., according to a release from Idaho State Police.

ISP says Schritter's 2006 Chevrolet Silverado went under the overpass, off the the road and hit a large pole. Schritter was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Schritter was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol is thought to be a factor, the release said. The crash is under investigation.
