The Boise Philharmonic and guest conductor Robin Browning will undertake one of Beethovens most transcendent works, Symphony No. 3 Eroica. With sweep and epic passages, it paints a musical picture of Napoleons heroism and revolutionary spirit that swept Europe after the French Revolution. The symphony was revolutionary because Beethoven redefined how music could impact an audience by bringing a political message into the concert hall. The program also includes Beethovens dynamic Emperor piano concerto played by guest artist Carlos Cesar Rodriguez.
