Gilbert Tobias, 84, has entered a guilty plea to felony lewd conduct with a minor under 16 in exchange for prosecutors dropping two other counts of lewd conduct with female children at a Nampa day care center his wife operated, Canyon County Prosecutor Bryan Taylor said Friday.

A psychosexual evaluation and presentence investigation will be conducted before Tobias is sentenced Nov.1. The maximum sentence for lewd conduct with a minor is life in prison. Tobias is being held in the Canyon County jail on $50,000 bail.

According to court documents, Tobias admitted to a Nampa detective that he touched the girls in a sexual way, saying he was "weak" and knew what he did was wrong. The three girls' allegations stemmed from 2005, 2007 and 2009. Tobias was arrested in August.
