Crews from Elmore and Gooding Counties, Glenns Ferry and from the Bureau of Land Management are fighting a grass fire sparked by a burning semi truck on Interstate 84.
Elmore County dispatch got the call at 4:43 p.m. Thursday. Callers said the semi truck with two trailers filled with hay bales was on fire near the Gooding County line.
The driver stopped and got out. The truck and trailers were destroyed by fire, dispatchers said. That sparked a grass fire.
No one was injured. It is unclear what caused the fire on the truck.
