ERIC CHURCH

7:30 p.m. Aug. 23

The hottest act comes first. Since releasing his debut album in 2006, country singer Eric Church has enjoyed a steady string of successful singles such as “Love Your Love the Most” and “Hell on the Heart.” His latest album is “Chief,” which topped both the country and pop charts after it was released in late July. Raised in North Carolina, Church has a twang in his voice that appeals to country diehards. Yet it’s that twang that probably will keep a terrific song such as “Springsteen” — cross your fingers that he sings that one — from crossing over to Triple A radio formats.

KOOL & THE GANG

7:30 p.m. Aug. 24

Kool & The Gang music performed in Boise but not by a wig-wearing disco cover band? That’s sort of a special occasion, so time to celebrate — or, at least, appreciate: Kool & the Gang tore up the charts in the late 1970s and 1980s, mixing funk, R&B, soul and pop. Granted, James “J.T.” Taylor — the smooth voice associated with smashes such as “Get Down On It” and “Celebration” — hasn’t been in the group in a couple of decades. But brothers Robert Bell (aka “Kool” on bass) and Ronald Bell (tenor sax) are still with the group, which relies on a fat-sounding brass attack to get booties shaking.

CRAIG MORGAN

7:30 p.m. Aug. 25

Don’t expect a full head of hair at this one. Country singer and Outdoor Channel series host Craig Morgan let someone give him a buzz cut for charity earlier this month. Morgan has landed half a dozen top 10 country hits during a decade-long career. His set list is sure to include his biggest — 2004’s “That’s What I Love About Sunday” — while also touching on favorites such as 2005’s “Redneck Yacht Club” and 2009’s “Bonfire.” Morgan just released a new single, “This Ole Boy,” off a forthcoming album.

CHEAP TRICK

7:30 p.m. Aug. 26

Classic-rock radio comes to life in the form of this band, which still tours with most its best-known lineup: Rick Nielsen (guitars — many guitars), Robin Zander (vocals), and Tom Petersson (bass). Drummer Bun E. Carlos remains a member, but he’s replaced on tour by Nielsen’s son, Daxx. Expect to hear hard-rocking yet pop-friendly hits “Surrender,” “I Want You to Want Me,” “Dream Police” and “Ain’t That a Shame.”
