Weather service warns of storm with winds, hail moving toward Kuna

The National Weather Service issued a significant weather advisory Saturday night for the Treasure Valley, warning that a storm is approaching that could bring heavy rain, hail and wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour.

The storm is expected to reach Kuna at about 9 p.m.

The weather advisory is in effect until 9:15 p.m. Areas that may be hit include southern Ada County, southeastern Canyon County and northcentral Owyhee County.

Radar indicated the thunderstorm was 9 miles northwest of Grand View at 8:21 p.m. It is moving about 35 mph.
