Work is under way at the former Linens 'n Things space at Boise Towne Square in preparation for the new Nordstrom Rack.

The Rack is slated to open in February 2012, according to Tina Kierce, the mall's marketing director.

Rumors of a Nordstrom Rack in Boise have been circulating for about a year. The company had said that it was aware of customer demand in the area but wouldn't confirm whether it would plant one.

Nordstrom Rack is an off-price division of Nordstrom. It offers a selection of apparel, accessories and shoes from Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com at reduced prices, as well as special value items purchased just for Nordstrom Rack.
