ON TODAY'S AGENDA

The Senate convenes at 11:15 a.m., the House at 11:30 a.m.

Budget: The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee will hear budget presentations from the labor and commerce departments as well as the Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 8 a.m., Room C310.

Animals: The Senate Agricultural Affairs Committee will consider an animal cruelty measure, 8 p.m., Room WW53.

Immigration: The House State Affairs Committee will consider two immigration-related bills, one on voting and the other to punish employers who knowingly hire those not allowed to work in the U.S., 9 a.m., EW40.

Tribes: The House Judiciary and Rules Committee will consider a bill to give tribal police arrest power, 1:30 p.m., EW42.

WHERE'S THE GOVERNOR?

Gov. Butch Otter signs the Idaho Amputee Coalition proclamation at 10:30 a.m. in the Governor's Ceremonial Office at the Capitol. He will present the Governor's Award for Excellence in Agriculture at the Idaho Ag Summit at noon at the DoubleTree Hotel Riverside in Garden City.
