"One of the fun things I do now is that I get to do interesting and different kinds of work and somewhat targeted work for a variety of clients," former Idaho Sen. Larry Craig told about 50 people Tuesday at an energy conference put on by the Idaho Council on Industry and the Environment and the Idaho National Laboratory. "One of my clients was very specific. He says, 'Kill the climate-change bill in the Senate.' Well, that's going to be a fun task.
"I don't have a vote (in the Senate) today, but at the same time maybe we can help shape a broader understanding of what this is all about and make it as politically incorrect to do it as it appears to be politically correct to do it today," Craig said. He co-founded New West Strategies this year in Washington, D.C., to offer advice and advocacy on legislative and regulatory matters.
