Ronald Weber, 63, and Sharon Weber, 60, were discovered dead on the bank of the Salmon River by an Idaho Transportation Department employee along Idaho 75 Monday afternoon.
The Boise couple and their motorcycle were found at the bottom of an 90 foot embankment along Idaho 75 just after 1:20 p.m. Monday, according to Idaho State Police reports.
It is unclear from ISP reports who was driving the motorcycle when it crashed. Evidence shows the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Idaho 75 when it went off the right shoulder of the road and down the 90 foot embankment.
Both of the Webers were wearing helmets, and alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, ISP officials said Tuesday.
Paramedics responding to the call from the ITD employee declared the couple dead at the scene of the accident.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
Two other people died Monday as the result of motorcycle crashes in Idaho.
Richard Schroeder, 63, of Halfway, Ore., died after losing control of his motorcycle on Idaho 55 near Banks just before 3 p.m.
Schroeder, driving southbound on Idaho 55, lost control of his motorcycle on a left curve and was thrown from the motorcycle and down a 30-foot embankment into the Payette River, according to ISP reports.
Schroeder, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, ISP officials said.
Eric Shink, 40, of Kennewick, Wash., was killed Monday evening after he drove his motorcycle into a guardrail on Interstate 84.
Shink was driving a motorcycle eastbound on I-84 near the Idaho/Oregon border and attempting to get on the off-ramp at milepost 3 when he lost control on a curve and drove into the guardrail, according to ISP reports.
The force of the impact threw Shink from the motorcycle, according to ISP reports. Shink, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
ISP investigators say they suspect alcohol and excessive speed could be contributing factors to the crash.
All three fatal crashes are still under investigation by ISP officials.
